A shocking incident of domestic violence has come to light in Mysuru, where a 35-year-old woman was brutally killed with an axe by her husband for coming home late. The accused, identified as Mahesh, has confessed to the crime during police interrogation.
Victim Identified as Pushpa
The deceased has been identified as Pushpa, a resident of the Narasimharaja area in Mysuru. According to police, the incident took place on the night of 29 April 2026, when Pushpa returned home late. An argument ensued between the couple, during which Mahesh allegedly attacked her with an axe, striking her on the head. Pushpa died on the spot due to the severe injury.
Husband's Confession
After the murder, Mahesh reportedly surrendered at the local police station and confessed to the crime. He stated that he had been suspicious of his wife's activities and was angered by her late return home. The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and are investigating the matter further.
