A delegation representing Delhi's villages, led by Palam 360 Khap chief Chaudhary Surender Solanki, on Saturday met Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and discussed several crucial issues directly affecting the rural belt and its inhabitants.
Assurance on Demolition and Sealing
According to Solanki, the CM assured the delegation that there would be no demolition or sealing action on old ground plus four floor structures in villages and their extended habitations. The CM said that the village people should not be confused or scared and that they must inform the government in case any officers try to take unjust action.
Solanki said the delegation apprised the CM about the ongoing demolitions and sealing actions following incidents in the recent past, adding that all villagers must not face extreme consequences due to a few wrongful actions.
Crop Damage Compensation and Other Issues
Additionally, the delegation expressed gratitude towards CM for increasing the crop damage compensation for Delhi's farmers to Rs 75,000 per acre, which Solanki claimed was the highest in the country. The rural leader said the CM assured the delegation that the government would soon make an announcement regarding circle rate and master plan matter.
The delegation comprised Chaudhary Dhara Singh of Bawana, Chaudhary Naresh Pradhan of Lado Sarai, Karan Singh of Dabas and Chaudhary Rajendra Dagar.
