Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, along with his deputies Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, participated in a National Democratic Alliance (NDA) meeting convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. The gathering marked the completion of 12 years of Modi's tenure as Prime Minister.
Historic Milestone
Calling it a "historic milestone," Majhi took to social media platform X to express his views. "4,399 days of transformative leadership… India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister. Committed to a stronger, self-reliant and developed Bharat," he posted. Majhi is on a two-day visit to the national capital and will also attend the Niti Aayog Governing Council meeting, which will be chaired by the Prime Minister on Thursday.
Deputy CM's Remarks
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said she attended the NDA functionaries’ meeting at Bharat Mandapam. She described Modi as a "visionary leader" whose commitment to governance and nation-building continues to inspire millions. Parida, along with Union Minister Jual Oram, also shared moments from a brief 'jhal muri' break during the meet.
Union Minister's Perspective
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan referred to a standing ovation accorded to Modi by the Cabinet, stating that it reflected the trust of 1.4 billion Indians in his leadership. "His commitment to the nation and concern for every citizen have always been a source of inspiration," Pradhan wrote on social media.
State BJP President's Statement
State BJP President Manmohan Samal highlighted that Modi’s 4,399 days in office surpassed Jawaharlal Nehru’s 4,398 days as Prime Minister. He described this as not just a personal milestone but a collective endorsement of his leadership by the people of India. Samal characterized the period as a testament to "service, good governance and unwavering resolve." He added that under Modi’s leadership, India has achieved women’s empowerment, youth development, farmers’ prosperity, digital revolution, rapid infrastructure growth, self-reliance in defense, and unprecedented success in space science, rising to new heights on the global stage with self-confidence and respect.
