Pawan Kalyan Declares 'Nation First' as Jana Sena Slogan

Vijayawada: Jana Sena president and Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan on Monday declared that national unity and integrity would remain the party’s highest priority, announcing 'Nation First, Everything Else Next' as Jana Sena’s official slogan.

Addressing the ‘Jathiya Samaikyatha Kosam – Sena Prasthanam’ meeting in New Delhi, Pawan said Jana Sena would firmly oppose divisive ideologies, regional hostility, and forces that seek to create differences among people. The event was attended by ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and party leaders from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Kerala.

Party's Journey and Vision

Recalling the party’s formation in 2014, Pawan said Jana Sena was launched not to seek power but to promote national consciousness, protect unity, and contribute to the country’s development. Despite facing several challenges over the past 12 years, the party has grown into a significant political force, he said.

Describing Delhi as a “symbol of India’s democratic and constitutional values”, he stressed that safeguarding national integrity is the responsibility of every political party. He also clarified that Jana Sena never opposed the formation of Telangana, but had criticised the manner in which Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated, leading to unresolved issues related to asset sharing and administration.

Five Resolutions Adopted

A major highlight of the meeting was the adoption of five resolutions. The first, 'Viksit Bharat: From Aspirations to Achievements’, focused on governance and development initiatives at the national level. The second reaffirmed Jana Sena’s commitment to 'Nation First' principle, emphasising unity, equal justice and constitutional values above caste, religion, language, and regional differences.

The third resolution focused on Andhra Pradesh’s reconstruction, welfare, and development over the past two years. The fourth marked Jana Sena’s 12-year political journey centred on service, sacrifice and public trust, while the fifth highlighted the party’s commitment to addressing the aspirations of the youth.

Call to Action for MPs

Pawan urged Jana Sena MPs to raise national issues in the Parliament and work to protect constitutional values and national interests, reiterating that strong states can emerge only from a strong nation.
