PM Modi: Political Change Certain in Bengal, TMC's 'Sins Pot Full'

PM Modi Declares Political Transformation Inevitable in West Bengal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted on Thursday that a definitive political change in West Bengal is now certain, emphasizing that citizens across the state are vocally demanding this shift. Addressing a spirited election rally in Asansol, Modi launched a sharp critique against the ruling Trinamool Congress, stating, “The pot of TMC’s sins is now completely full.”

Accusations of Syndicate Rule and Mafia Control

Modi directly accused the TMC administration of permitting and enabling widespread illegal activities throughout the region. Focusing on Asansol's historically significant coal belt, the Prime Minister elaborated, “Asansol constitutes a major segment of the coal belt, yet under TMC governance, the entire industrial sector is dominated by a syndicate raj. This includes the pervasive influence of coal and sand mafias.”

He framed the upcoming election as a critical battle not merely for a change in government but for the restoration of the region's industrial prowess and economic vitality. “This electoral contest is fundamentally about eradicating mafia rule, and only a BJP government possesses the capability and will to achieve this objective,” Modi declared confidently.

Promises of a New Era and Double-Engine Governance

Looking ahead to the post-election scenario, the Prime Minister predicted, “After May 4, the current 'Nirmam Sarkar' or insensitive government will be history. A BJP-led administration will systematically address and resolve every single problem plaguing this region.”

Highlighting concerning economic trends, Modi claimed that investment has sharply declined in what was once a thriving industrial belt. He argued that only a “double-engine government”—with the same party in power at both the state and central levels—could effectively reverse this decline and catalyze sustainable development.

Modi also pointed to central government initiatives, noting that the Centre has allocated specific funds aimed at reviving industries in Asansol. He added that despite encountering numerous “hurdles and obstructions” from the state government, the BJP has persistently contributed to developmental efforts in the area.

Concerns Over Women's Safety and Cultural Heritage

The Prime Minister extended his criticism to issues of law, order, and social welfare, expressing grave concerns about women's safety in West Bengal. “Bengal is the sacred land of Shakti worship, symbolizing feminine power and respect. However, under the present 'Nirmam sarkar', the situation in Bengal has alarmingly deteriorated,” he stated.

Referring to specific recent incidents, Modi said, “Tragic events like those witnessed at RG Kar and the horrific scenes emerging from Sandeshkhali are stark reflections of this decline. The TMC has frequently been observed openly supporting and shielding the perpetrators of such crimes.”

Through his comprehensive address, PM Modi positioned the BJP as the sole alternative capable of ending alleged corruption, restoring industrial glory, ensuring public safety, and ushering in a new era of proactive governance for West Bengal.
