Historic Sports Victories Take Center Stage
During his monthly radio broadcast, the Prime Minister expressed immense pride in India's sporting accomplishments, particularly emphasizing women's achievements. He lauded the ICC Women's World Cup win as a significant milestone for the country.
PM Modi specifically mentioned that Indian women created history by winning the Women's Kabaddi World Cup in Dhaka, marking India's second consecutive World Cup title in the sport. He described the women's Blind Cricket World Cup victory as "one of the greatest victories in Indian sports history."
The Prime Minister also acknowledged athletes' outstanding performances in the World Boxing Cup Finals and revealed that India won 20 medals at the Deaf Olympics in Tokyo, representing the country's best performance in the event to date.
Space and Defense Milestones Highlighted
Turning to technological advancements, PM Modi spotlighted significant developments in India's space and defense sectors. He announced that INS Mahe was formally inducted into the Indian Navy in Mumbai last week, strengthening the nation's maritime capabilities.
In the space domain, the Prime Minister revealed that India's space ecosystem received a major boost with Skyroot's Infinity Campus, emphasizing that the country has taken a major step in maintenance, repair, and overhaul within the aviation sector.
Cultural Celebrations and Emerging Trends
PM Modi highlighted several important cultural events that occurred throughout November. He mentioned that on November 26, a special program was organized in Parliament's Central Hall to commemorate Constitution Day.
The Prime Minister also noted that a grand series of nationwide events began as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of Vande Mataram, the national song whose anniversary was celebrated on November 7.
Referring to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, PM Modi mentioned that the Dharma Dhwaja was hoisted on November 25, the same day when Panchjanya Memorial was inaugurated in Kurukshetra's Jyotisar.
