Pregnant Woman Dies in Delhi Mustafabad; Family Alleges Dowry Torture
A 25-year-old pregnant woman died after falling from the fourth floor of a building in northeast Delhi's Mustafabad on Monday. Her family has accused her husband and in-laws of dowry harassment, police said Tuesday.
The incident occurred on May 26. The woman was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead. According to a preliminary investigation, the woman had married a man of her choice approximately three months ago. Her family alleged that within weeks of the marriage, her husband and in-laws began demanding cash and gold and subjected her to mental harassment.
