A state banquet was hosted in honour of President Droupadi Murmu at Himachal Pradesh Lok Bhavan in Shimla on Tuesday evening. The event saw the attendance of several top dignitaries from the state.
Arrival and Reception
The President arrived at Lok Bhavan around 7 pm, where she was received by Governor Kavinder Gupta, lady governor Bindu Gupta, and Chief Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia. The Governor and the lady Governor felicitated the President at the Aditya Room.
Interaction with Governor's Family
President Murmu also interacted with members of the Governor's family, adding a personal touch to the formal occasion. This gesture was appreciated by those present.
Banquet at Darbar Hall
Later, she attended the banquet at the Darbar Hall, where prominent leaders and officials were present. Among them were Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania, leader of opposition Jairam Thakur, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Health Minister Col Dhani Ram Shandil (retd), and Education Minister Rohit Thakur. Senior officials, high court judges, and political leaders were also in attendance.
The event highlighted the state's respect for the highest constitutional office and provided an opportunity for interaction between the President and the state's leadership.
