The devastating tragedy unfolded in the Yamuna River while victims were undertaking a pilgrimage to the holy city of Vrindavan. To date, rescue teams have successfully recovered 11 bodies from the river. Chief Minister Mann confirmed that the Punjab government has dispatched expert diving teams to the site to bolster the rescue efforts.
