Sharad Pawar's Health Update: Stable and Recovering Well at Pune Hospital
Veteran Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SP) leader Sharad Pawar is reported to be stable and recovering well after being admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune on Monday. The hospital authorities issued a detailed update on Tuesday, confirming that the senior politician's condition is improving following treatment for a chest infection.
Medical Condition and Treatment Progress
According to hospital officials, Pawar's vital parameters are within normal limits and his overall clinical condition shows positive signs of recovery. Dr. Simon Grant, one of the doctors treating Pawar at Ruby Hall Clinic, stated, "His vital parameters are within normal limits, and his overall clinical condition is stable and recovering well."
Medical examinations revealed slight chest congestion through a CT scan, but doctors noted that the mild discomfort Pawar experienced at the time of admission has significantly improved with ongoing medical management. Dr. Abhijeet Lodha, another member of the medical team, confirmed that Pawar's heart rate and oxygen levels remain stable, and he has not required oxygen support or ventilator assistance.
"The mild discomfort noted at the time of admission has improved with ongoing medical management. As a precautionary measure, he continues to remain under observation. His treatment is being carried out strictly as per Ruby Hall Clinic's established medical protocols, and all investigations are being closely monitored," Dr. Grant elaborated.
Hospital's Appeal and Family Involvement
Ruby Hall Clinic has made a formal appeal to NCP party workers and Sharad Pawar's well-wishers to avoid gathering within the hospital premises. This request aims to ensure that routine patient care remains uninterrupted and that medical operations can proceed smoothly without external disruptions.
Family members have been actively involved in Pawar's care. Supriya Sule, member of Lok Sabha and Pawar's daughter, has spoken with doctors, requesting that treatment be administered strictly according to the hospital's established protocols. Meanwhile, Rohit Pawar, member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, explained that Pawar was admitted due to physical exhaustion and mild breathing discomfort following recent activities.
Over the past several days, Pawar had been meeting people and receiving condolences in Baramati, where the family of late Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar has been staying. During this period, Sharad Pawar rallied around his nephew's family in their hour of crisis and held separate meetings with Ajit Pawar's sons, Parth and Jay, regarding plans to establish a grand memorial in honor of their father at Vidya Pratishthan.
Ongoing Medical Supervision and Future Plans
Doctors at Ruby Hall Clinic have emphasized that Pawar will remain under close observation as a precautionary measure. Medical decisions regarding his continued treatment will be based on his clinical progress and response to current therapies. The hospital's established medical protocols are being followed meticulously to ensure optimal care.
The medical team continues to monitor all investigations closely, and further treatment decisions will be made as Pawar's condition evolves. Hospital authorities have expressed confidence in his recovery trajectory while maintaining a cautious approach to his medical management.
