Three Injured in Electric Car Accident in Pune

Three people sustained injuries on Saturday after the driver of an electric car reportedly lost control of the vehicle while exiting the parking area of a private hospital in Navi Peth around 1:30 pm.

Details of the Incident

The Vishrambaug police have documented the incident, but no formal complaints have been filed by the injured or their relatives so far. All three injured individuals have been admitted to the same private hospital. A total of four vehicles were involved in the accident.

Senior inspector Pradik Kasbe of Vishrambaug police stated, "The driver had come to the hospital to pick up a relative who was being discharged. As the car was exiting the parking lot towards the main gate, the driver allegedly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake. The vehicle then rammed into an autorickshaw and two motorcycles. There was a patient in the autorickshaw."

Casualties and Aftermath

He added, "The autorickshaw driver and the two motorcyclists suffered injuries and have been hospitalised." The injured are currently receiving medical treatment, and the police are awaiting further action pending formal complaints.
