Bhopal: A tragic accident in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district claimed three lives and left another person critically injured on Friday night. According to police, a speeding dumper truck rammed into four pedestrians standing on the roadside.
Accident Details
The incident occurred around 8:30 pm on the Karera-Bhitarwar road near Hajinagar village. The dumper truck, bearing registration number MP 33 HA 3600, was traveling from the Karera side. Witnesses reported that the vehicle was being driven rashly at high speed before it lost control and ploughed into the four men.
Casualties and Injuries
Three of the victims died on the spot, while the fourth sustained critical injuries. The deceased have been identified as Lotan Singh Gurjar of Hajinagar village, and Ravi (also known as Ravindra Yadav) and Keshav Kevat, both residents of Letra village in Datia district. The fourth victim, whose identity could not be confirmed immediately, was rushed to a hospital with the help of locals and police. His condition is reported to be serious.
Legal Action
A complaint was lodged by eyewitness Raghvendra Gurjar, a resident of Hajinagar, who blamed the accident on the driver's recklessness and negligence. Upon receiving information, a police team arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. The dumper truck was impounded, and legal proceedings have been initiated against the driver. A case has been registered under sections 125(A), 281, and 106(1) of the BNS at Karera police station.
