Toddler dies after nap on road, biker killed in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad witnessed a series of tragic accidents within hours on Monday, resulting in five deaths and one injury. A three-year-old boy died after taking a nap on a roadside, while a biker was killed in a collision with a cement mixer truck. The incidents occurred in Bopal, Vastrapur, Aslali, Kanbha, and SP Ring Road.

Bopal-Ambli Road Accident

Around noon on Monday, a 33-year-old man was killed and his cousin injured on the Bopal-Ambli Road. According to an FIR with N-Division police, Gufran Qureshi, 27, an AC technician from Juhapura, was riding towards Bopal with his cousin Ejaz Qureshi, 33, as pillion. A speeding cement mixer truck allegedly struck their motorcycle from behind. Both fell, and the truck's rear tyre ran over Ejaz's head, causing critical injuries. They were taken to Sola Civil Hospital, where Ejaz was declared dead. Gufran sustained injuries to his left elbow and right ankle and was discharged after primary treatment. Police are searching for the truck driver, who fled after abandoning the vehicle.

Other Incidents

In a separate incident, a three-year-old boy died after lying down on a road for a nap. Other fatal accidents were reported from Vastrapur, Aslali, Kanbha, and SP Ring Road. In most cases, relatives identified bodies and filed complaints, while drivers fled the scene.
