The Uttar Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has announced a statewide protest on Wednesday against the alleged indecent and objectionable remarks made by Samajwadi Party MP Ajendra Singh Lodhi against Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently.
Protest Programme Announced
State general secretary Sanjay Rai announced that demonstrations would be organized at district collectorate premises across the state. He confirmed that women office-bearers, public representatives, and party workers would actively participate in the protests.
Rai criticized the language used by the Samajwadi Party, stating it goes against the healthy traditions of Indian democracy and political discourse. He emphasized that using abusive and inappropriate language at a personal level under the guise of political opposition is unacceptable and undermines the dignity of democratic politics.
“The BJP will not tolerate such conduct and will strongly oppose it,” Rai asserted.
BJP's Strong Stance
The BJP functionary accused the SP of lowering the standards of political discourse. He declared that the party would register its protest strongly across all districts of the state, ensuring that every corner of Uttar Pradesh hears their condemnation of such behavior.
This protest underscores the BJP's commitment to maintaining decorum in political dialogue and holding opposition members accountable for their statements.
