Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has recalled a pivotal moment during the land acquisition process for the Jewar airport, stating that farmers were given just one hour to make a decision. The chief minister explained that he had personally addressed the farmers, emphasizing that the project would fundamentally alter the region's economic trajectory.
One-Hour Ultimatum
Speaking at a public event, Adityanath said he gathered the farmers and laid out the benefits of the airport project. 'I told them this is a transformative opportunity for the area. I gave them one hour to think it over and come back with their decision,' he recounted. The chief minister noted that the farmers eventually agreed, recognizing the long-term advantages.
Project Significance

Once completed, it is expected to become one of the largest airports in Asia, significantly boosting connectivity and economic growth in the region. The land acquisition process was a critical step, involving negotiations with thousands of farmers.
