Kanpur: Targeting the Samajwadi Party over the Sandeep murder case in Lucknow, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Wednesday alleged that opposition parties were attempting to gather criminal elements with the elections approaching. Pathak stated that information had been received regarding the involvement of individuals linked to the SP in the case. He assured that the state government would expose all such elements and take strict legal action against them.
Review of Law and Order and Health Services
While reviewing law and order and health services in Kanpur on Wednesday, Pathak declared that strict action would be taken against those guilty in the case of an ITBP jawan's mother, whose hand was severed. The Deputy CM said he had taken cognizance of the incident through news sources. He added that as soon as the case file reaches him, he would personally review it.
An immediate report had been sought in the matter, and strict action would be taken against the guilty and officers found negligent in the investigation, said Pathak.
Meeting with Administrative Officers and Doctors
The Deputy CM also held a meeting with administrative officers and doctors at KPM Hospital in the city. He emphasized that the systems of government hospitals should be improved. Pathak issued directives to resolve public problems under all circumstances. He stated that the government was committed to making Kanpur a leader in development.
The state government was continuously working to revive Kanpur's old industrial character. The Kanpur-Lucknow Expressway and the new airport were fully ready, he said, adding that the government was making continuous efforts to establish a large number of industrial units in the city.
