The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board successfully conducted the Home Guards Enrolment-2025 written examination across the state on April 25, 26, and 27. Authorities credited stringent security measures for a largely peaceful and malpractice-free process.
Exam Details and Security Measures
The examination was held in two shifts at 1,053 centers spread across 74 districts. Elaborate arrangements were made to ensure smooth conduct. Officials deployed advanced monitoring systems, including biometric verification, photo matching, and real-time digital surveillance, to curb impersonation, cheating, and other unfair means.
Arrests and Incidents
Authorities reported several arrests during the three-day exercise for offenses such as forgery, impersonation, and misuse of electronic devices. On April 27, two candidates—Chhotelal in Hapur and Vikram Singh in Fatehpur—were arrested for allegedly tampering with dates of birth on admit cards to create forged documents.
In separate incidents, Amit Kumar in Aligarh and Dharampal Singh in Hathras were caught during biometric verification while attempting impersonation. Earlier, on April 26, three persons, including an assistant teacher, were arrested at a center in Kanpur Nagar for concealing prohibited electronic devices.
In Etah, action was taken against a candidate for preparing fake admit cards. In Bareilly, a candidate appearing at two centers under different identities was apprehended through biometric matching, officials said.
