UPSRTC Bus Driver Killed, Four Injured in Truck Crash

A tragic road accident occurred in the early hours of Friday on the Kanpur–Prayagraj Highway, resulting in the death of a UPSRTC bus driver and injuries to four others, including the bus conductor. The incident took place near Chittaura turn under the Malwa police station area of Fatehpur district.

Details of the Accident

The bus, which was carrying over a dozen passengers, collided with a parked truck around 6:30 am. The force of the impact was so powerful that the front section of the bus was completely crushed. The deceased driver has been identified as Rana Vijay Singh, a 30-year-old resident of Patti in Pratapgarh district.

Injuries and Medical Response

The injured individuals include conductor Surendra Kumar, from Handia, and three passengers. They were immediately rushed to Allipur Medical College for treatment. After receiving first aid, all injured persons were discharged from the hospital.

Police Action

Police officials confirmed that the accident occurred when the bus was traveling from Kanpur to Prayagraj. Additional police personnel were deployed at the scene to clear the highway and restore normal traffic flow. Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
