Shimla: Governor Kavinder Gupta on Saturday stated that the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 can only be realized when villages, farmers, youth, and women become active partners in the nation's development. Addressing the annual lecture on ‘Bharat 2047: The Resolve of a Viksit Bharat', organized by Panchnad Shodh Sansthan in Shimla, he emphasized that a strong rural economy, modern agriculture, skill development, and entrepreneurship are essential for building an Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Key Highlights from the Governor's Address

The governor noted that by 2047, when India completes 100 years of Independence, the country aims to emerge as a developed, inclusive, and self-reliant nation driven by innovation and human values. He described ‘Viksit Bharat 2047' as a collective mission of 140 crore Indians under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Role of Youth and Women

Gupta encouraged the youth to become job creators through innovation and entrepreneurship. He also released two books on the occasion, underscoring the importance of knowledge dissemination in achieving national goals.

The governor stressed that a robust rural economy is the backbone of a self-reliant India.
