Union Minister Pledges Eye Donation
Union Minister of State for Defence and Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth pledged to donate his eyes on Sunday and urged people to actively participate in this noble cause. Speaking at an eye and organ donation-cum-eye check-up camp organized by the Akhil Bharatiya Kayastha Mahasabha, its social welfare (women) and arts wing president Smita expressed gratitude for the minister’s gesture, calling it motivating and impactful for society. She said such actions encourage wider participation in eye and organ donation.
IIMC Alumni Association Reunion
The annual reunion ceremony of the Jharkhand chapter of the IIMC Alumni Association was held on Saturday in Ranchi. The ‘Connections Meet’ began in Delhi on February 28, and since then, chapter-level events have been organized every weekend in different states. Former IIMC students from various districts of Jharkhand participated. During the program, SAIL officer Manoj Kumar and journalist Anand Dutta, who played a key role in founding the Jharkhand chapter, were honored with the ‘Pillar of IMCA’ award. Jharkhand chapter president Kishore Kaushal said that they have been active in social work, and such activities will be expanded further in the coming days. He added that programs bringing together members and their families are also part of the chapter’s plans.
