Vice President of India CP Radhakrishnan offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara at the Tirumala temple on Tuesday morning. He was accorded a traditional 'Isthikapal' welcome upon his arrival at the Mahadwaram of the temple. Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, along with TTD chairman BR Naidu, Executive Officer Muddada Ravichandra, Additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, and a group of temple priests, extended the warm reception.
Worship and Blessings
After offering prayers to Lord Balaji inside the sanctum sanctorum, the Vice President proceeded to the Ranganayakula Mandapam. There, he was presented with Srivari Sesha Vastram, Tirumala temple prasadams, and a portrait of Lord Venkateswara. The spiritual visit also included darshan at Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy temple in Tirumala and later at Sri Padmavathi Ammavari temple in Tiruchanoor.
The visit underscores the cultural and religious significance of the Tirumala temple, which attracts thousands of devotees daily. The Vice President's participation in the rituals highlights the enduring traditions of the temple.
