Jaipur: Sudden Weather Disrupts Flight Operations

Sudden weather changes across northern India disrupted flight operations on Thursday evening, leading to multiple diversions to Jaipur airport, officials said. Adverse conditions, including a dust storm in Jaipur during the afternoon, also affected incoming flights.

Several aircraft were rerouted due to poor weather in Delhi and Dehradun. A Bhubaneswar-Delhi Air India flight (AI 1898) was diverted to Jaipur, while an Air India Express flight (IX 1527) from Bengaluru to Dehradun and an IndiGo flight (6E 6226) from Delhi to Dehradun were also redirected to Jaipur.

IndiGo issued a travel advisory on X, stating, “Due to bad weather conditions in Delhi and Dehradun, flight operations may be impacted. We understand that extended wait times, both on the ground and onboard, may cause inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate your patience.”

Travelers are advised to check with their airlines for the latest updates on flight schedules and possible delays or cancellations. The weather conditions are expected to improve gradually, but passengers should remain prepared for further disruptions.
