Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath delivered a powerful address on Sunday, calling for a widespread campaign against forces that threaten to push present and future generations into darkness. Speaking at a religious ceremony in Haryana, the CM urged religious leaders to consistently speak out against religious conversion, love jihad, and drug abuse during their public events.
Call to Action Against Social Evils
During his speech at the idol consecration ceremony and 'Aath Man' Bhandara at Baba Palanath Ashram in Kablana village, Jhajjar, the Chief Minister drew historical parallels to emphasize contemporary threats. He recalled that India's previous golden age was followed by foreign invasions, warning that similar attacks could be engineered today through religious conversion and narcotics.
The UP CM insisted that no anti-Sanatan activities should ever be accepted under any circumstances. He stressed that protecting Sanatan Dharma is essential not only for India's safety but for global humanity as well. "Sanatan will remain safe only when we remain united. We must not divide as division leads to our downfall," Adityanath emphasized.
Unity and Cultural Preservation
Adityanath specifically cautioned against divisions based on caste, appeasement policies, region, or language. He made a significant appeal to all Sanatani households to fly the flag of Sanatan Dharma atop their homes, similar to the Dharma Dhwaj hoisted at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The Chief Minister spoke extensively about the drug problem, noting that drugs destroy an individual's ability to think critically. He emphasized the urgent need to save the current generation and society from this menace, revealing that India's enemies are deliberately spreading the drug trade through smuggling across borders.
Sanatan Dharma's Global Significance
Highlighting the importance of Sanatan Dharma, Yogi described it as the world's most ancient tradition that has guided humanity and contributed to universal welfare through spiritual practices. He noted that the diverse modes of worship, sects, and traditions within Sanatan Dharma have led to the evolution of various philosophical and knowledge systems.
The CM particularly mentioned the Nath Sampradaya's significant contribution to this heritage, tracing its origins back to Adinath Bhagwan Shiva. He explained that the various forms of Shiva found across India exemplify the country's unity, while the Nath Sampradaya has made Sanatan Dharma accessible to common people through its twelve sub-traditions and the guidance of Siddhas and yogis.
Adityanath referenced the recent victory of Sanatan Dharma visible on November 25 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the grand saffron Sanatani flag at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. He described this flag as more than just cloth, calling it a symbol that conveys Sanatan Dharma's resilience in all circumstances.
The Chief Minister also praised Haryana's development under its double-engine government and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini's leadership, noting that the state is setting new benchmarks in progress.
