Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has emphatically stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Panch Pran' or five pledges serve as the nation's eternal guiding principles for transformation. He asserted that adhering to these vows will propel India towards its goal of becoming a self-reliant and developed nation, a 'Viksit Bharat', by the year 2047.
Vision for a Developed India by 2047
The Chief Minister made these remarks while addressing the launch of the Founder's Week Celebrations 2025 by the Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad in Lucknow. The event was formally inaugurated by SDRF Vice President Lieutenant General Yogendra Dimri (Retd) in the presence of Yogi Adityanath.
Recalling the Prime Minister's message from the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Yogi emphasized that as India completes 100 years of Independence, it must stand as a unified, dignified nation, free from social divisions. "Every citizen should live without fear or deprivation and contribute to India's emergence as a global superpower," he declared. He described the 'Panch Pran' as a clear and actionable roadmap to realize this ambitious vision.
The Five Pledges: A Blueprint for National Transformation
Elaborating on each of the five pledges, the Chief Minister provided a detailed exposition of their significance for India's future.
The first 'pran' or pledge, he noted, is to take pride in India's rich civilizational heritage. He invoked the legacy of iconic figures like the fearless Rajput king Maharana Pratap, the Maratha warrior king Shivaji Maharaj, the valiant Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, and revolutionary freedom fighters such as Bismil and Ashfaqullah Khan.
On the second pledge of shedding the colonial mindset, Yogi Adityanath pointed to India's remarkable economic revival as evidence of this shift. He highlighted that from constituting a mere 1.5% of the world economy at the time of Independence, India has now surged to become a $4-trillion economy, ranking as the third-largest globally.
The remaining three pledges form the bedrock of a disciplined and powerful society, according to the Chief Minister. These include honoring the sacrifices of the armed forces, strengthening national unity by decisively ending caste-based and regional divisions, and most importantly, every citizen fulfilling their fundamental duties with sincerity.
The Path to a Self-Reliant Superpower
Yogi Adityanath concluded with a powerful assertion: if these five pledges are embraced and followed in their true spirit by all Indians, the nation will undoubtedly achieve its destiny of becoming a 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047. The journey, he reinforced, is firmly oriented towards the twin visions of an 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' (self-reliant India) and a developed India, free from the shadows of its colonial past and internal strife.
The week-long celebrations launched at the event are set to focus on these very themes of national pride, education, and collective duty, echoing the government's overarching mission for the next quarter-century.
