Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of development projects worth over Rs 1,200 crore during his two-day visit to Gorakhpur on June 13 and 14. The projects span multiple sectors, including law and order, healthcare, education, sports, tourism, urban development, drinking water supply, and infrastructure.
First Day Events
On June 13, the chief minister will attend a programme at Gandhi Inter College in Mahuapar. There, he will inaugurate and launch projects worth around Rs 300 crore in the Chillupar assembly constituency, including a Government ITI college.
Second Day Events
The following day, at a grand event at Veer Bahadur Singh Sports College, Yogi will inaugurate 39 projects worth Rs 148.87 crore and lay the foundation stone for 188 projects costing Rs 799.44 crore. He will also address a public gathering and highlight the state government’s development initiatives.
Key Inaugurations
- The Phase-B pavilion and multipurpose sports hall at the sports college
- A new administrative building for Ramgarhtal police station
- A regional cyber police station building
- STF field unit facilities
- A public health laboratory at the district hospital
- The renovated auditorium at BRD Medical College
Major tourism and heritage projects, including temple beautification works, pond redevelopment, Town Hall restoration, and conversion of the old municipal hall into a museum, will also be dedicated to the public.
Foundation Stone Projects
The foundation stone projects include road widening, medical college expansion, sports infrastructure, drinking water schemes, and urban civic amenities across the city.
