The Chandigarh Youth Congress held a protest on Sunday, expressing grave concern over the future of students amidst repeated examination scams, paper leaks, and irregularities. The demonstration specifically targeted the recent NEET paper leak case, with members alleging that such incidents have become routine under the BJP government.
Loss of Faith in the System
Protesters claimed that students are losing faith in the system due to failed policies and repeated breaches of trust. Indian Youth Congress national president Uday Bhanu Chib described the NEET paper leak as a direct attack on the dreams and efforts of students. He accused the BJP of failing to safeguard the youth, highlighting that such incidents worsen the plight of young people already grappling with unemployment.
Congress MP Manish Tewari's Remarks
Congress MP Manish Tewari added that the government has failed to provide employment opportunities and ensure a fair, transparent examination system. He asserted that the "paper leak mafia" is thriving under the BJP regime, at the expense of merit and hard work.
AAP Members Join BJP
In a separate development, a few AAP members and workers switched allegiance to the Chandigarh BJP on Sunday. Local party president Jitendra Pal Malhotra welcomed them, stating they were inspired by the party's development initiatives, governance record, and nationalist ideology.
