A tragic accident in Ludhiana claimed the life of a young man and left two others injured early Thursday morning. The incident occurred near BRS Nagar when a Thar vehicle lost control and collided with a bridge wall.
Details of the Incident
The deceased has been identified as Aryan Bir Singh, a resident of Kiran Vihar area in Ludhiana. According to the general diary registered at Sarabha Nagar police station, the victim's father reported that his son left home around 12:30 am with four friends, stating they were going to the market to buy eggs.
Investigating officer ASI Devinder Singh stated that at approximately 4:30 am, the victim's father learned that the car had jumped the footpath near MC Zone D and rammed into the bridge wall. The father requested no further police action or postmortem, asking only for the body to be handed over to the family.
Injuries and Aftermath
Sources revealed that one of the deceased's friends suffered a head injury in the accident, while another sustained an arm injury. Two other friends escaped with minor injuries. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The police have recorded the statements of the family and are investigating the cause of the accident. No case has been registered as the family declined to pursue legal action.
This incident adds to the list of road accidents in Ludhiana, highlighting the need for safer driving practices and better road infrastructure.
