A 12-year-old girl allegedly died by suicide at her home in the Aerodrome police station area on Tuesday evening, leaving her family and neighbours in shock.
Incident Details
The incident was reported from Pragati Nagar in Chhota Bangarda, where the child was found dead inside her house. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Narendra Rawat stated that the minor had recently cleared Class V from a government school.
The tragic discovery was made when the girl's younger sister, who had been outside with her brother, tried to enter the house but received no response despite repeatedly knocking on the door. She then informed neighbours, who helped open the door and found the girl dead inside.
Background and Investigation
Investigators revealed that the girl's father had died due to illness approximately four months ago. She was alone at home at the time of the incident. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Police confirmed that no suicide note was recovered from the scene, and the reason behind the extreme step remains unknown.
