The land, located in KSRTC Layout, was originally reserved for a public park. However, illegal sheds had been constructed on the site, leading to numerous complaints from local residents.

According to officials, the encroachment was identified during a routine inspection. The illegal structures were promptly demolished, and the area has been cleared for its intended purpose. The operation was carried out with the support of the local police to ensure law and order.

Residents of KSRTC Layout had been raising concerns about the unauthorized construction for months. They alleged that the illegal sheds were being used for commercial activities, causing inconvenience and affecting the neighborhood's aesthetics. The BBMP's swift action has been widely appreciated.
