BENGALURU: Heavy monsoon rains continued to lash Bengaluru on Sunday, with several parts of the city witnessing intense evening showers. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the southwest monsoon is advancing through Karnataka, and Bengaluru is expected to receive more rainfall over the next one week.
Waterlogging and Road Safety Concerns
The downpour has raised concerns over waterlogging and road safety. Following heavy rain on Friday night, several stretches were left waterlogged and riddled with potholes. Meanwhile, six people were killed and seven others injured in separate road accidents reported across Bengaluru.
Weather Forecast
The IMD has advised residents to remain cautious as the monsoon activity is likely to continue. The city has been experiencing above-normal rainfall this season, leading to disruptions in daily life.
