A second-year student of the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) in Sheikhpura, Bihar, allegedly died by suicide at his home on Thursday morning. The incident occurred in Barui village under the Sadar police station area.
Victim Identified
The deceased has been identified as Kunal Kumar (22), son of Yugal Yadav. According to police reports, family members discovered his body hanging from a ceiling fan. They immediately rushed him to a private clinic, from where he was referred to Sheikhpura Sadar Hospital. Doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead.
Family Statement
Kunal's elder brother, Ajit Kumar, stated that Kunal was a bright student and had skipped his training duty at a school in Wazidpur village on Wednesday. The family suspects that a personal relationship issue may have driven him to take the extreme step.
Police said that a teacher had messaged Kunal on WhatsApp regarding his absence from training. Kunal had replied that he would attend the next day. However, he did not show up.
Police Investigation
Sheikhpura Sadar police station SHO Dharmendra Kumar said, "Action will be taken after a formal complaint is lodged by the victim's family." He added that further action would be taken if a written complaint is submitted.
Kunal was undergoing primary teacher training at DIET Sheikhpura and was posted at a school in Wazidpur as part of his practical training. The police are investigating the matter and awaiting a formal complaint to proceed.
