The revenue and land reforms department of Bihar has strengthened its public grievance redressal mechanism by setting up a new monitoring cell with immediate effect. This initiative follows instructions from Minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, who emphasized the government's commitment to improving departmental accountability and enhancing revenue services.
New Monitoring Cell and Assignments
As part of this initiative, nine revenue service officers have been assigned to ensure regular monitoring and timely disposal of public complaints. The move aims to provide transparent, effective, and time-bound solutions to grievances raised by citizens. Deputy Secretary Sunil Kumar has been designated as the nodal officer for continuous monitoring of the departmental grievance portal.
Minister's Statement
Speaking on the development, Minister Jaiswal stated that the government is dedicated to ensuring prompt redressal of complaints and warned that negligence in grievance disposal would not be tolerated. He asserted that strict action would be taken against erring officials who fail to comply with the new directives.
Expected Outcomes
The department expects the new mechanism to make the redressal system more transparent, accountable, and efficient. This step is part of a broader effort to improve governance and citizen satisfaction in Bihar's revenue administration. The monitoring cell will operate round-the-clock to track the status of complaints and ensure timely resolution.
