A birthday celebration that involved placing a table on a public road and cutting a cake proved costly for a former Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) corporator. The incident occurred at Gadital in Yerawada around 1 am on Friday. A case has been registered against seven individuals, including the former corporator's son.

Police Complaint Filed

Police constable Baljit Baburao Thorat (40) lodged a complaint at the Laxminagar police station. According to the complaint, the celebration took place on the public road in front of the former corporator's office.

Details of the Incident

The former corporator was celebrating his birthday on Friday. Firecrackers were burst around 1 am, causing disturbance to public peace. The complaint states that the corporator's son and others present at the celebration obstructed traffic on the road and created a public nuisance.
