Indore: Amid water scarcity in the city, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday conducted a review meeting at the divisional commissioner’s office to enforce immediate and accountable relief measures for residents.
Establishment of a 24x7 Water Control Room
To address distribution gaps, the Chief Minister instructed officials to set up a round-the-clock water control room. This facility will evaluate daily morning and evening supply metrics to ensure efficient management.
Specialized Supply Strategy for Water-Stressed Wards
CM Yadav directed the municipal corporation to design a specialized supply strategy that prioritizes water-stressed municipal wards. This aims to provide equitable distribution across all sectors.
Rectification of Timing Discrepancies
The Chief Minister ordered immediate rectification of timing discrepancies in tap water schedules. This step is intended to ensure balanced distribution across all urban sectors of Indore.
Strict Action Against Water Theft
To curb water theft and supply line losses, Yadav ordered strict legal action against individuals using illegal booster motors to draw water directly from main lines. This measure aims to protect the integrity of the water supply system.
Immediate Repair of Pipeline Leakages
Engineering teams have been directed to fix pipeline leakages instantly to prevent transmission losses. This will help conserve water and improve supply efficiency.
