Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Tuesday approved the formation of Civil Defence Corps units in eight newly created districts and a special court for cases investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), according to an official statement. He also gave the green light for the exploration of a 207.63 square kilometer rare earth elements mineral block located in Navatala and Devigarh villages within the Pachpadra and Shergarh areas of Balotra district. The exploration license has been awarded to the Central Mine Planning and Design Institute following the auction of the block.
Civil Defence Corps in New Districts
The Civil Defence Corps will be established in Balotra, Didwana-Kuchaman, Phalodi, Salumber, Khairthal-Tijara, Deeg, Kotputli-Behror, and Beawar. An official stated, "The initiative is to strengthen disaster management, civil defence preparedness, and emergency response systems in the newly created districts."
Special NIA Court
Sharma also approved the establishment of a special court dedicated to cases investigated by the National Investigation Agency. This move aims to ensure faster disposal of security-related cases in the state.
Governance and Development
Further, the statement highlighted that these decisions are intended to improve governance efficiency, strengthen judicial and security infrastructure, and boost mineral exploration and employment generation. "Directions have been given to ensure time-bound implementation of all approved decisions," added the official.
