A tragic incident occurred in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district on Tuesday when an under-construction culvert collapsed, resulting in the death of a woman labourer and injuries to 12 others, officials confirmed.

The collapse took place in the Ghill Nala area of Bhalessa in Gandoh tehsil. The structure gave way while construction work was underway, trapping workers under the debris. A woman labourer died on the spot, while 12 others sustained injuries of varying severity.
Rescue and Medical Response
Local residents and authorities immediately initiated rescue efforts, pulling the injured from the rubble. All injured individuals were transported to Government Medical College Hospital in Doda for medical treatment. Officials noted that most of the injured labourers are migrant workers from Bihar.
