New Delhi: The Delhi government is accelerating Yamuna rejuvenation projects worth over ₹1,000 crore as part of its efforts to restore the river's health, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced on Sunday while leading a cleanliness drive across 28 Yamuna ghats and riverfront locations in the capital.

Participating in the campaign at Geeta Colony Ghat, Gupta emphasized that while the government is undertaking large-scale efforts to clean the river, public cooperation is equally important. She urged people not to throw plastic waste, garbage, flowers, garlands, idols, or other religious offerings into the river.
