Yavatmal: Fertilisers valued at Rs 24.7 lakh were seized during a late-night raid conducted by the agriculture department at an alleged unauthorised manufacturing unit in the Bhoyar MIDC area near Yavatmal on Friday night. The action was carried out by a joint team from the Agriculture Commissionerate, Pune; the Divisional Joint Director of Agriculture Office, Amravati; and the Yavatmal District Agriculture Department. During the investigation, officials found that the unit had no licence for establishing a fertiliser manufacturing and storage facility.
