These engineering solutions are aimed at significantly improving traffic flow.

In a parallel effort to uplift the city's appearance, the committee also reviewed ten locations shortlisted by the GDA for beautification. These sites include Hapur Trisection (Thakurdwara Trisection), Hapur Road, Madhuban Bapudham Junction, Govindpuram Junction, Hindon Chauraha in Raj Nagar, Seth Mukund Lal Chauraha, Navyug Market, Shastri Nagar Crossing, Ajnara Crossing, and River Heights Crossing in Raj Nagar Extension. The municipal corporation and other urban bodies are also finalising their own lists of sites within their jurisdictions for similar upgrades.

DM Mander's Directives for a Cleaner, Smoother Ghaziabad

DM Ravindra Kumar Mander issued specific instructions to concerned departments, prioritising several key areas. He emphasised the need for pothole-free roads, regular cleaning, and denting-painting works. Other focus areas include the repair and cleaning of dividers and drains, beautification of green belts and footpaths, resolving waterlogging issues, pruning trees, improving night-time lighting, and removing or securing hanging and defunct electric wires in coordination with the power department.

Mander stressed the importance of inter-agency coordination, asking bodies like the NHAI, PWD, GDA, Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation, and the traffic police to expedite work at the identified spots and to flag any issues requiring intervention at the district level. He stated that making Ghaziabad clean, visually appealing, and free from traffic congestion should be treated as a shared responsibility by all stakeholders.
