A four-year-old girl sustained serious injuries after being attacked by a pack of six stray dogs near the indoor stadium in CQAL Layout, Sahakara Nagar, on Sunday evening. The victim, Sangeetha, belongs to a family of construction workers from Yadgir. The incident occurred around 4:30 pm when the child was walking on the road near the indoor stadium.

CCTV Footage Captures the Attack

According to CCTV footage, the pack of stray dogs suddenly pounced on the girl, causing severe injuries. Hearing her cries, nearby residents rushed to the spot and rescued her. She was immediately taken for medical treatment and has received two injections. The dogs bit her on multiple body parts, including hands, legs, and face.

Residents Demand Action

The attack has triggered outrage among local residents, who alleged that they had repeatedly complained to civic authorities about the increasing stray dog menace but received no effective response. Residents said aggressive stray dogs have become a major safety concern, especially for children and the elderly.

Following the incident, officials from the corporation's animal husbandry department visited the spot, gathered information, and inspected the area. Civic officials assured residents that steps will be taken at the earliest to control the stray dog menace in the locality.
