In a continued crackdown on illegal narcotics, Jhalawar police arrested two alleged drug peddlers in separate operations and seized smack worth over Rs 30 lakh, officials said on Wednesday.
According to Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar, the action was carried out under a special operation targeting organised crime and illegal drug trade, including purchase, sale, transport and distribution of narcotic substances.
First Arrest: Woman Caught with Smack
In the first case, Kotwali police on Wednesday arrested a 24-year-old woman, Ravina, while she was allegedly trafficking smack. The police seized 179.20 grams of smack from her possession, estimated to have an international market value of around Rs 30 lakh. Police registered a case under the NDPS Act, and an investigation is underway.
Second Arrest: Man Held for Retail Distribution
