On Sunday, March 8, the Kanpur Commissionerate Police marked International Women's Day with a vibrant and impactful special program. The event saw active participation from women across diverse fields, who gathered to share their perspectives on critical issues such as women's empowerment, education, health, legal rights, and social awareness.
Police Leadership Addresses Attendees on Women's Contributions
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Lines) Shiva Singh delivered an address to the assembled women, emphasizing the significance of the occasion. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Archana Singh formally welcomed the guests, setting a tone of recognition and support.
Shiva Singh highlighted the core objective of the event, stating, "The main aim is to honour and encourage the invaluable contributions of women in our society." He elaborated, "Today, women are playing pivotal roles in nearly every sector, including education, health, justice, administration, and security, driving societal development forward. This program was specifically organized to acknowledge and celebrate these remarkable contributions."
