Madhubani: District Magistrate (DM) Anand Sharma has achieved the 3rd position nationally and 1st in Bihar in the prestigious Fame India–Asia Post National Survey for 'Best District Magistrate 2026'. This ranking was based on a comprehensive evaluation of nearly 800 District Magistrates across India on 10 key parameters, including administrative excellence, governance, innovation, accountability, crisis management, public relations, development orientation, sensitivity, behavioral skills, and quick decision-making.

Under Sharma's leadership, Madhubani has garnered several national recognitions, such as the President's Award for Best Election District 2026 and the Prime Minister's National Panchayat Award.
