A man in his 30s was discovered dead with a gunshot wound to the head inside a locked SUV in the Ecotech 1 area of Greater Noida on Sunday night. Police suspect the incident to be a suicide.

Discovery of the Body

A patrolling police response vehicle (PRV) spotted the Mahindra Scorpio on an isolated stretch near Gharbara village. The man, identified as Rahul Bidhuri, a resident of Beta 2, was found in the driver's seat with a pistol in his left hand. The bullet appeared to have passed through his skull and the car's window. The body was sent for autopsy.

Family Account

Bidhuri's family informed police that he left home around 9 am on Sunday in the SUV, which belonged to his wife. He was last heard from at 11 am. No suicide note was discovered. The pistol is believed to have been in his possession for the past few days.

Possible Motive

Police revealed that Bidhuri had survived a cardiac arrest two weeks ago, while his wife was battling cancer with deteriorating health. The couple had a six-year-old visually impaired daughter. Officers indicated that personal and health-related distress may have been contributing factors.
