Mangaluru: In a proactive move to address the challenges posed by the monsoon season, the Mangalore Electricity Supply Company (Mescom) has deployed a special emergency task force. The initiative aims to ensure uninterrupted power supply and minimize disruptions caused by heavy rains, storms, and falling trees.
Tree Trimming Operations Underway
Mescom Managing Director stated that work to trim trees and branches that pose a threat to power lines has already commenced and is progressing in several areas across the region. The task force is focusing on identifying vulnerable spots where vegetation could interfere with electrical infrastructure, thereby reducing the risk of power outages and accidents during the monsoon.
Proactive Measures for Monsoon Preparedness
The emergency task force is equipped with specialized tools and personnel trained to handle weather-related emergencies. Teams have been stationed at key locations to respond swiftly to any incidents.
