A tragic incident occurred in Lasudia Goyal village under Jharda police station area of Ujjain on Tuesday, where a woman and her 8-year-old son died after consuming pesticide.
Details of the Incident
According to Jharda police station head constable Bharat Singh Chauhan, the deceased have been identified as Seema Bai and her son Rajveer. The motive behind the act remains unclear at this stage.
Sequence of Events
Police officials stated that they are questioning family members and acquaintances to ascertain the reason. Family members revealed that Seema Bai and Rajveer were first taken to Agar hospital in a critical condition. From there, Rajveer was referred to a private hospital in Ujjain, where he succumbed to the poison during treatment. Seema Bai died at Agar hospital.
Postmortem and Investigation
The bodies were handed over to the family after postmortem examination. Police are continuing their investigation to uncover the circumstances that led to this tragic event.
