Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh high court vacation bench has granted bail to an individual arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the Madhya Pradesh Drug Control Act following the recovery of 71 Onrex cough syrups from his possession in Amarpatan town, Satna district.
Case Background
The accused, Shubham Patel, was taken into custody on November 17, 2025. His counsel argued that the client was falsely implicated in the case and that there was no further requirement for custodial interrogation as the charge-sheet had already been filed.
Court Proceedings
During the hearing, the state government counsel opposed the grant of bail. However, after listening to both sides, the vacation bench comprising Justice Vishal Mishra allowed the bail application.
Bail Conditions
The court ordered the release of Shubham Patel on a personal bond of Rs 50,000 along with a surety of the same amount.
