A series of thefts and burglaries have been reported from different parts of Chandigarh, with miscreants decamping with cash, jewellery, LPG cylinders, and electronic items. The police have registered cases and initiated investigations into these incidents.
Burglary in Mauli Jagran
In Mauli Jagran, a house was found ransacked after the occupants returned from a trip. The thieves stole cash, an LED TV, and other valuables. The residents were shocked to find their home in disarray upon their return.
Incidents in Sector 15 and Maloya
Separate cases of burglary were reported in Sector 15 and Maloya, involving the theft of gold and silver jewellery as well as cash. The police are examining the scenes and collecting evidence to identify the culprits.
Theft at Hotel in Sector 45
In another incident, a hotel owner in Sector 45 accused an employee of stealing and selling LCDs from the premises. The police have registered a case and are examining CCTV footage as part of the ongoing investigation.
