MUMBAI: In a swift rescue operation, a Mumbai police constable saved a 46-year-old woman after she jumped into the sea at the Marine Drive promenade. The incident occurred around 11:25 am on Monday.
According to reports, as soon as the woman jumped into the sea, police constable Jayesh Mali, who was patrolling the area, acted without hesitation. With the assistance of nearby citizens, Mali successfully pulled the woman to safety.
After receiving information about the incident, Assistant Police Inspector Someshwar Chougule and Police Sub-Inspector Gagre coordinated with medical teams to ensure that immediate medical assistance was provided, preventing any further mishap.
The Mumbai police also informed the woman's family about the incident before taking further action. She was then shifted to GT Hospital for treatment, where her condition is now stable, police officials confirmed.
