Daltonganj: The district administration of Palamu has announced the organization of Jan Samadhan Shivir (public redressal camps) every Wednesday to provide on-the-spot resolutions to people's grievances. Earlier, such camps were known as Janta Darbar, which has now been rechristened, officials said on Tuesday.
Solution-Oriented Approach
Palamu District Collector Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat stated that the camps will be solution-oriented. Land disputes are among the major concerns in Palamu. The DC said, “If the issues are related to the demarcation of land, there is no reason for cases to linger. But cases which are sub judice in court, it takes time.”
Manpower Challenges
The district administration, however, is battling a manpower crunch, which may pose problems, according to sources. For example, out of 20 posts of circle officers, 13 are pending. “There is definitely a shortage, but we try to perform with whatever human resources are available,” the DC added.
